The SDJG Pier Jump has been a beloved Junior Lifeguard tradition for 35 years, bringing together courage, community and one unforgettable experience.
This summer, the 35th Annual SDJG Pier Jump continued that tradition as San Diego Junior Lifeguards took the leap from historic Scripps Pier during two incredible event days.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Pier Jump possible.
Congratulations to the brave San Diego Junior Lifeguards who faced their fears and took the leap!
Thank you to the dedicated San Diego Lifeguards who kept everyone safe, including navigating challenging ocean conditions during our July event.
Thank you to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography for allowing this incredible tradition to continue at Scripps Pier.
And thank you to our incredible volunteers, parents and families, and everyone who came out to support the Junior Lifeguards and the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego.
The Pier Jump is also an important fundraiser for PDFSD, helping support SDJG scholarships and free swim lessons for youth with limited access to learning this life-saving skill.
35 Years and Counting
For 35 years, the Pier Jump has been a special part of the San Diego Junior Lifeguard community. We are grateful to everyone who has helped carry the tradition forward and to all those who made the 35th Annual Pier Jump another year to remember.
Here’s to 35 years… and counting! 💙
