The Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego (PDFSD) is proud to share the refreshed look of our outreach van!
Originally awarded to PDFSD through a generous Los Patronas grant in 2012, this van has been a vital tool in helping us reach communities across San Diego with lifesaving water safety education. With the newly updated graphics, the van now carries even stronger visibility and impact.
The bright design showcases key messages from our water safety cards—including constant supervision, wearing a life jacket, learning to swim, and CPR with rescue breathing. It also highlights our important “Rip Current: Flip, Float, Follow” safety tips to help keep families safe at the beach.

If you see our van out at events, pools, or community gatherings, we invite you to come say hello! It’s more than a vehicle—it’s a moving reminder of our mission: Working Together to Save Lives.
Thank you again to Los Patronas for helping make this possible, and to our community partners for supporting our vision of a safer San Diego.
